Counseling with a Registered Dietitian
There is a wide range of behaviors and thoughts that fall under the umbrella of Eating Disorder and Disordered Eating. A mental health diagnosis from the DSM (Diagnostic Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders) for an Eating Disorder might be Anorexia Nervosa (AN), Binge Eating Disorder (BED), OSFED, ARFID, or Bulimia Nervosa (BN). These are all diagnoses that I am experienced in working with, and I also recognize that individuals may experience disordered behaviors related to food that don’t fall neatly into one category.
If you are a parent or caregiver looking for help navigating your child’s eating disorder, please visit the FBT Services page.
Our work together
I offer nutrition counseling services tailored specifically for individuals with eating disorders. My goal is to meet you where you’re at and together we will discuss meal plan options. Additionally, I will provide ongoing support as clients navigate challenges, food exposures, and make sustainable lifestyle changes. My role is to help gently guide you along your path to a better relationship with food and in your journey to recovery.
We will begin with an Initial Nutrition Assessment (50 minutes) to gather information and make a plan for our next steps. Based on your personal needs, we will set a frame of session frequency for Follow Up Session (45 minutes).
